“A good image should start a conversation with the viewer” - a maxim, I always consider while shooting.
Born in Hong Kong, George came to the UK to attend boarding school - and never really left. After completing BA graphic design at Norwich School of Art, he spent five years working for the acclaimed portrait photographer David Montgomery as first assistant and studio manager. George went solo on the late 1980’s, English Elle magazine was an early client and ever since he has worked in Advertising, Editorial and PR photography. Working in his canal-side studio in London, George photographs mostly table-top and conceptual still life compositions. For more than a decade he has photographed commissions for FT’s How to Spend It magazine. Other clients include Gina Shoes, Hackett, Cutler & Gross, Smirnoff, E & J Gallo winery, Silk Cut, Waitrose wine, Boots, M&S, Tiffany & Co, Givenchy, Estee Lauder(UK), Pia skincare and Red Magazine.
